CENTRAL FIELD TRIAL CLUB

The Central Field Trial Club (CFTC) was started in 2009 by a handful of serious field trailers who took it upon themselves to start a new club to ensure that field trials, at the highest level, would be held within the Central region of South Africa.

In 2018, C.F.T.C took a bold step and decided to host its first H.P.R. (Hunt, Point and Retrieve) trials for Continental breeds and is now, along with the Western Cape Field Trial Club, one of two clubs within KUSA to hosts field trials for both the British Breeds (B.B.) and Continental Breeds (C.B.).

In 2021 the Central Field Trial Club became affiliated to KUSA.
Along with field trials, the C.F.T.C. believes that the education of gundog owners about their best friends is the most important aspect to ensure the existence of the Sport of Kings for the generations to come. We offer and encourage members and non-members to participate in our training days & events. Experienced gundog owners will guide the whole family through these training days that will include both practical and theoretical sessions.
