The amendments and additions to the Schedules listed below were agreed by the Federal Council Members at its meeting held on 26/27 November 2011 and will become effective on 01.04.2012
N.B.  The references refer to the Constitution and Schedules on the KUSA website (www.kusa.co.za).

AMENDMENTS TO THE SCHEDULES
SCHEDULE 2 REGULATIONS 4.3 – REGISTRATION OF DOGS
Amended to read:
The entire litter is registered at one time by the breeder within six (6) months of the date of birth.
Reg 4.3.1:
Notwithstanding the provisions of Regulation 4.3 above a litter may be registered after six (6) but no later than twelve (12) months after the date of birth of such litter, subject to the fees laid down in terms of Schedule 7.

1.2.7 Before applying to hold a Qualifying Show, a new Club must have held two (2) Non-Championship Shows.
SCHEDULE 5B (1) - REGULATIONS FOR WORKING TRIALS (CLASSIC)
Amend to read:
Reg.   1.2   Scope of Licence
A Club entitled to hold a Championship Show may hold a championship working Trials (Classic) not more than once in any calendar year under the same licence as a Championship Show or under the same licence as a Championship Obedience Show or under a separate licence.  Before applying to hold a Qualifying Show, a  new Club must have held two (2) Non championship Shows.
SCHEDULE 5B (2) - REGULATIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL WORKING DOG TRIALS AND INTERNATIONAL TRACKING DOG TRIALS
Amend to read:
Reg. 1.2    Scope of Licence
The licence may include any one or more of the following grades; IPO I, IPO II, IPO III, and IPO FH.  A club entitled to hold a Championship Show may hold a Championship IPO Show not more than once in any calendar year under the same licence as a Championship Breed Show or under the same licence as another championship Event or under a separate licence. Before applying to hold a Qualifying Show, a new Club must have held two (2) Non-Championship Shows.
SCHEDULE 5C (3) - REGULATIONS FOR HPR (BREED THAT HUNT, POINT & RETRIEVE)
Notice is hereby given in terms of Article 41 of The Kennel Union Constitution that the above named revised Schedule will become effective on 1 April 2012 and copies will be circulated to all Provincial Councils and Affiliated Clubs as timeously as possible.  They will also be placed on the KUSA Website and may be downloaded for gratis or hardcopies will be available to members at a price to be determined.
SCHEDULE 5D - REGULATIONS FOR DOG JUMPING GRADES
Amend to read:
Reg.   2.3   Number of dogs to be Judged
No Judge shall be required to test more than a total of two hundred (200) dogs in one (1) day. If the number of entries in Grades to be judged by one (1) person exceeds these limits the Committee of the Club holding the show shall appoint an extra Judge(s) and shall allocate competitors as equally as possible among the Judges by draw. If a dog which has already been awarded a Jumping Qualifying Certificate is competing in a Championship Grade 1, Grade 3 and Grade 5, the handler shall have the right to claim exemption from the draw if one of the additional appointed Judges is the Judge under whom the dog qualified for the award of the said Certificate.
Reg. 6.1    Table A
Two (2) rounds with a time limit, which will be a minimum of 2.5m/s and a maximum of 3.5m/s for the first round. All dogs with a clear first round compete on a shortened course and the dog with the least faults and fastest time is declared the winner. When only one (1) dog obtains a clear first round a second round is not required and this dog is declared the winner. Where no dog obtains a clear round the dog with the least faults and fastest time is declared the winner.
Reg. 1.4.3 Grand Champion
A dog awarded fifteen (15) Dog Jumping Qualifying Certificates will qualify as a Dog Jumping Grand Champion and shall be issued with a KUSA certificate to that effect. This is providing that no more than ten (10) certificates were gained in any one province with the balance of five (5) certificates having been gained in at least two (2) other provinces.
SCHEDULE 5L - REGULATIONS FOR AGILITY – APPENDIX C
Amend to read:
Reg. 5 – Management of South African Team Affairs for the World Championships
Reg. 5.4 Handlers who have qualified for the South African team must confirm their availability before the
commencement of the South African Trials. This includes payment of a deposit which shall be determined by the AWC Sub-Committee as well as written proof that all the necessary travel and veterinary or other documents required for handler and dog are in order and current. Any withdrawal subsequent to the announcement of the team will be subject to a cancellation fee, which will be pre-determined by the AWC Committee

SCHEDULE 5E - SPECIAL EVENTS
SCHEDULE 5E (12) - REGULATIONS FOR HANDLER OF THE YEAR COMPETITION
The following amendments were tabled for adoption:
Clause 9 – Judges – renumber current paragraph as 9.1.
Insert NEW 9.2
The National Junior Handler competition will be judged by two (2) qualified Judges with a referee in attendance.
SCHEDULE 5F (9.1.10) - REGULATIONS FOR BOERBOEL CHARACTER AND BREED ASSESSMENT REPORT
Notice is hereby given in terms of Article 41 of The Kennel Union Constitution that the above named revised Schedule will become effective on 1 April 2012 and copies will be circulated to all Provincial Councils and Affiliated Clubs as timeously as possible.  They will also be placed on the KUSA Website and may be downloaded for gratis or hardcopies will be available to members at a price to be determined.
As various amendments become effective the documents displayed on the KUSA website will be altered accordingly.  These documents may be downloaded for free.

HOUND GROUP
Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit)
Amend to read:
Head and Skull Head carried proudly. Skull of moderate length, slightly domed, not too wide, oval when viewed from above. Well cut away under eyes. Occiput moderately well developed. Stop clearly defined. Muzzle square, length from nose to stop slightly less than from stop to occiput. Underjaw strong and well developed. Nose black, large and prominent, with wide nostrils. Lips covered with long hair forming beard and moustache.
TOY GROUP
Biewer Terrier Breed Standard
The Biewer Terrier Breed Standard has now been accepted for inclusion in the Toy Group. Please refer to the Kusa website to review these changes.
WORKING GROUP
Revised Breed Standard Black Terrier/ Russian Black Terrier (Russkiy Tchiorny Terrier)
Extensive Revision to this breed standard has been made, and the name changed to ‘Russian Black Terrier’.

Pyrenean Mountain Dog
Amend to read:
Head and Skull
Strong head without coarseness, not too large in relation to size of dog. Skull curved when viewed from front and sides. Breadth at widest point about equal to length from occiput to stop. Head as viewed from above forms a blunt ‘v’ shape, well filled in below the eyes. Sides nearly flat and of good depth. No obvious stop or excessively protruding eyebrows ridges; only a slight furrow, so that skull and muzzle are joined by a gentle slope. Strong muzzle, medium length, slight taper near tip. Black nose and eye rims. Liver or pink pigmentation highly undesirable.
Colour
(a) White.
(b) White with patches of badger, wolf-grey, paler shades of lemon, orange or tan. The colour patches may be on the head, ears or base of the tail and few permissible on the body.
Other colours undesirable.
Black patches going right down to the roots highly undesirable.
